From the course: Alias Essential Training
Working within a project
- It's very important in Alias to work in a proper project structure. So when we first install Alias, where is the installation path, where is it actually located, the application? Now because this is a brand new installation, we haven't actually set up any projects right now, so Alias gives us a dummy project to work with, and it calls it "demo." If I double-click on demo, this is the standard file structure for an Alias project. At the very bottom we have "wire," which is where all our wire files will go, and the standard file format for an Alias model is a .wire file, and we can see that down here. Another very useful folder to work with is miscellaneous data, and also pix, where we'll keep our images and pictures.
