Now that the camera is connected, we are ready to launch the software application. It's important that all the wires are attached and your camera is powered on. The computer must see the camera in order for the software to recognize it. Don't attach the camera after launching the software for best results. Okay. I've launched iStopMotion, and I'm going to make a new project. When you do, you have a few choices to make. First off, a very logical one, give the file a name and tell it where to store. From the Preset menu, you'll see several options. These days, the use of HD video at either 720 or 1080 is most common. You could, of course, use any preset you want, or make your own presets, but I recommend sticking with these as a starting point. Now, when you choose one of these presets, you're going to notice at the very bottom, Customized. This allows you to manually dial in any settings that you need.
