- [Instructor] If you're working on a film project with even more than a handful of people, you'll likely have a sound designer on your team. And it's so important as a visual effects artist to be aware of how something sounds. when creating visual effects. I wondered what they sounded like. I determined these were balls of a kind of electrical energy. (high-pitched electrical crash) The larger ball would also sound electric, and there would also be a base component there that wasn't there for the small ball. (electricity booming and crackling) When composing a musical score for orchestra, which we'll look at in the audio course as well, not everyone can play a solo at the same time without it sounding muddy. Likewise, be mindful with your visual effects that not everything can be at full volume all the time. and it takes a lot of bass to make that impactful.
