- [Narrator] Changing the direction and velocity of a particle emitter can definitely change the style of an animation. In this video, we'll change the particles coming off this rocket to look more like the typical rocket flame. Now let's look at this animation. Make sure the timeline panel is active and press the space bar, and you can see these particles are just sort of gently floating off the bottom of the rocket. I'll press the space bar to stop playback and let's start by turning off the visibility of layer three. We don't need those particles anymore because I've created a new particle system layer solid. Turn on the visibility for layer two and select that layer by clicking it in the timeline. Then go up under the effect panel, go down to RG Trapcode and then choose particular. Here in the effect controls panel, open up the emitter options. The first thing I want to do is not have these particles emit out in a circle, but in order to see things more clearly, I'll enable solo…
