- This hidden gem concerns a particular project setting…you need to change if you want to make sure…you're seeing the true colors…of the assets you're dealing with.…Now, if you've done much work with Photoshop…you may be used to the idea of color management.…That's where each particular image…quite often has embedded into it a profile…that reflects how that image was captured or created…and Photoshop can convert that color space…to whatever output device you're using,…a particular printer or even your screen.…
Color management defaults to On inside Photoshop.…The default is sRGB Space…which tends to be a rather limited color palette.…That, by coincidence, is very similar…to what you use for a hi-def television.…For my own photography and printing work,…I happen to use ProPhoto RGB as my main working space…because that preserves the maximum fidelity of my images,…particularly when I'm doing extreme color adjustments.…However, there's a problem, when I bring images…like that back into After Effects.…
