Working with ambient and point lights

- In this chapter we're going to start by looking at various light types available to us in after effects. Now is this movie, we'll start with looking at the most simplistic light, which is a point and also a light that will help illuminate everything in your composition. So I'm here in my chapter two underscore one composition and we'll just note that all of these layers, in particular, that make up this logo are, indeed, 3D. What we're going to do is head to layer menu and from the new options, we're going to choose to create a new light. Depending on if this is the first time that you're entering into these settings your light type option might be different than mine. We're going to come down here and just choose a point light, which is literally a 360 degree bulb that shines all over the place. It's the easiest light to control. So, we're going to leave the options at default. We're going to leave the color as white and the intensity at 100%. Let's just choose OK. Right away you…
