When are vectors converted to rasters?

- Once you start to create motion graphics, your vector graphics will eventually get converted to rasters, but where that conversion happens will control the quality of the file and what your design options are. Let me give you a quick overview of this process. Now I'm going to start inside of Adobe Illustrator, and I'll choose my selection tool here and just lasso around this first logo so it becomes active. Now choose Edit > Copy. From the File Menu, choose File > New. You'll see that the New Document window opens and that there's similar presets to Photoshop, including Film & Video. I'm going to choose a preset here for 1080. Now interestingly, they have the incorrect acronym here. This is actually HDTV, not HDV, but it is the correct size of 1920 by 1080, and you can see that when you take a look at the inspector here. It's also set it to the RGB color mode, which we'll talk about more a little bit later. When I click Create, it makes a new document. I'll now choose Edit…
