This course, assume you have some basic knowledge using Adobe After Effects. Concepts like import files, working with layers, creating key frames, using the graph editor, and editing effects, should be familiar to you. I'm also assuming you have some knowledge on how to work with vector files such as, masks, shapes, and Illustrator art work inside the program. If this is not the case, we have plenty of basic training here at Lynda.com to help you get started.
Look for After Effects CC Essential Training with Ian Robinson, or After Effects Apprentice 14: Shape Layers with Chris Mayer and Trish Mayer to fill those gaps. To be able to follow along in this course, you'll need After Effects CS6 or above.
