What is a call to action?

- [Instructor] What is a call to action? Call to action is a marketing term often used in advertising and selling. You're probably aware of what a call to action is already. A call to action is a device designed to prompt an immediate response or encourage an immediate sale, such as buy now, or time-limited offer, call now to save. The wording is chosen to make a person act fast so it's usually short and snappy. In the case of a food advertisement, it could simply be, hungry? Let's say we're putting out a video on YouTube and we want to make our audience aware that we'll be adding more content. So we may want to add a call to action for them to subscribe to our channel. We may also want to let them know that they can receive notifications when we release new content. So, we'd create a call to action for that too. We can also ask for our users' participation such as leave a comment, or give a thumbs up. Call to action are designed to prompt an immediate response, or encourage an immediate action. So let's not waste any more time and dive into creating our own animations for these elements.
