Using proxy files

- Sometimes when you're working with a complex animation you might decide to replace part of that animation with a lower quality file. What happens here is you can temporarily submit a proxy, essentially a stand-in, and this can really speed things up. Let's take a look at a simple example where I replace a piece of 3D content with a proxy. So in the case here of this bumper, what you'll see is that we have an animated logo in the corner, and this is really slowing things down as it has to generate these frames. So, what we can do is create a proxy. Now, I'm going to replace this with just a static version. So, if I select the animated logo here what I can do is choose to reveal this and I'll reveal this in the project. And there's the logo. Now what we can do is generate a proxy. So if I just right-click on this you'll see the option for Create Proxy. What I can now do is choose to generate either a movie proxy or a still proxy.
