Using photo filters

- Another effect from Photoshop that's available inside of After Effects are photo filters. And these really simulate the traditional glass filters that were often attached by photographers to compensate for different shooting conditions. Classically, these are things like warming and cooling, but you can add a glass filter of any color to really compensate for color cast or to create a mood. Let me show you a few examples. Let's go to the end state here and you'll see the auto contrast effect on top to preserve contrast. That's quite useful. Now let's go to the photo filter layer and you'll see several different photo filters. If you open these up you'll see all the presets in play. For example if we turn that off you see that the shot's really warm. It was afternoon sun. But by using a cooling filter here with the preserve luminosity option it really helps bring that out.
