Using performance disk cache

- Now, the performance disk cache is an alternative to using things in short-term memory. And we're going to go a lot deeper on this a little bit later, but let me show you how it works. If you go under the Preferences Menu, you'll find another area called Media & Disk Cache. And what happens here is you can enable a disk cache. Now, we're going to talk more about what these setting do here in a moment, but let me empty it out for a second. And I'm going to enable the disk cache. And right now, it's just writing to a temporary location. I'll click OK. Now, let's load up a preview. There we go. I'll click Stop. And you see, we've got the previewed frames. Those have been stored. In fact, if I press Play, you get a pretty good idea of what's happening. Now, I want to show you a benefit. Let's say we close this project and went onto something else.
