Using patterned tiles
Thanks to things like video games and desktop patterns, the collection of seamless patterns available on the internet is huge. These are essentially small graphics that repeat. Much like floor tiles, or things that you would put on the wall, wallpaper. These tiles are meant to repeat, as you go from one edge to the next. And Photoshop makes it really easy to work with these. Let's make a new image here to start with. And I'll choose a video sized document. From the fill and adjustment layer pop-up I could choose Pattern. Now, the available patterns may vary on your system but if you click here, you'll see. Again, terrible presets. This might discourage you from using the pattern adjustment layer. But, just a click away are good presets. And you'll find things like artist surfaces, which allow you to dial in textures such as canvas, or stucco, or rough wall textures, and remember.
