- [Instructor] You've already learned how to use the render settings dialog, which is really quite useful but straightforward. There's not that many choices. But when it comes to output modules, while it's a similar process, you are faced with a lot more options. Most users when they render never really get past rendering out a lossless file. They just render out a single file at high quality. But, if you are familiar with your computer, or you want to make better use of storage, there's a lot of advantages to rendering out specific types of files. Maybe it's a QuickTime movie or an AVI file. And there's a codec that you want to use that's supported by the editing system. Or, maybe you want to actually render out something as an image sequence. Well, let's take a look at what's involved here. You'll see that by default, this is set to lossless. Let's go ahead and remove this one from the render queue, and just work on this first format.
