- If you are a premium member you have access to the exercise files in this course. It's important to note once you download the exercise files, I recommend moving the entire exercise files folder around as one element if you decide you need to move the files from their originally downloaded location. Now, if you're not a premium member, please feel free to follow along with your own project files and before I go, let me show you how the exercise files are organized. If we open the Exercise Files folder, you'll notice I have separate folders for each chapter and I also have an Assets folder. Within each chapter, you'll probably see exercise files but if there isn't an exercise file for a video, don't panic. Not every single video has an exercise file. Now also, in this course we'll bounce around between multiple applications. For example, if I go to chapter four here, you'll notice I have multiple project files that say 04_02 and the delineation will be whether we're in Illustrator or After Effects. so just kind of pay attention to what application we're currently running and yes, as I switch around I will definitely call it out but just so you know the same number is perfectly acceptable, they're just completely separate applications. Now on occasion After Effects does lose links to external project files so if it's saying it has missing footage or showing you color bars, you may want to right click and re-link the footage and most of the times the footage will either be in the same exact folder from the chapter or in one of these folders within our Assets folder. That's another reason why I always recommend moving your exercise files folder around as one unit if you need to move things between multiple drives.
