Using adjustment layers

- It's now time to explore some of the essential technologies that you're going to use when you're color grading your footage in After Effects. Now, these are some of my favorite overall techniques, and they're going to affect everything that you're going to do for the rest of this course. One of the things I'm really keen on is the use of adjustment layers. It allows you to really take a look at the shot, and make easy changes. Let's explore. If you open up Folder 2.1, select the Adjustment Layer Start. I've also included an end state if you want to take a look at these two. We went from here to here with a series of adjustments. Because we've used adjustment layers, it's easy to isolate each effect. For example, I've gone ahead and added multiple adjustment layers.
