Using the Place command to size an image
- Let's move on to using the place command. This allows you to put the high quality file into a video size document. Let me show you how this works. In Photoshop, simply create the file that you need. File. New. Let's say I was delivering at 1080p. I'll choose film and video. Select 1080p. And click create. I could choose file, place. There's two options. Embedded is going to put the file right inside the document. I like this because it creates no dependencies. However, if you're working off of one hard drive, and don't expect to be moving things around, you can use place link to save space. For the most part, I recommend place, embedded. Navigate to the folder. Let's go to the folder called resolution. Here, I have some higher quality scans. You see that these files are larger. I'll choose place.
