Understanding pre-run

- [Instructor] Pre-run is a function in Particular that allows you to actually introduce particles into the scene before the emitter starts emitting. To show you what I mean, let's go down to the timeline and make sure the timeline is active. Then, press the spacebar. Notice here in this scene, I've got particles that faded into the scene and then they start falling down. Well, what if I wanted these particles to already be like this at the start of my composition? Well, I can make some adjustments. Let me go ahead and select layer one, which contains my particle layers, and then I'll go to my effect control particles in the Effect Controls for the particles effect and I'll open up my emitter here. I'll move my current time indicator back to frame zero. Now, let me scroll down here and open up the Emission Extras area. In here, I have an option for Pre-run and I'm going to go ahead and increase the Pre-run and notice as I do that, particles will appear in the scene. I'll set my…
