- So at some point, almost every Motion Graphic Animator is going to have to animate text. Not only is this an essential part of any video workflow, understanding how to create and manipulate text animation is the gateway to saving useful presets. Let's take a look at modifying existing preset and then creating a text animation from scratch. So, I think the best way to learn how to create useful presets is to study some of the presets that already exist and this is absolutely true for text animation. I am here in my Chapter 1_1 composition. I've double clicked it from the Chapter 1 folder to open it and I found the project files from creating presets and controllers, an AEP file that was saved if you downloaded the lesson files. So I've got a text layer and I've got a .mov file in this project and I'd like to test out a few text animation existing presets to find out what's available.
