- To close out the only section of the course where we make specific use of the mask tracker to finish a shot, I wanna quickly give you an idea of what distinguishes trackable mask targets from those that can't be tracked, with an example. In the next section, we're going to work on this shot that involves a skateboarder doing a pretty impressive ollie, but we're going to make it a lot bigger. And we need to roto him and his board out from this background. Now, the board seems like a decent target for mask tracking, so let's just give it a quick try. I'll just draw a mask around the outline of it. The contrast is pretty good overall. I can see the contours of it very clearly, and so, conceivably, this is a good mask track target. Now, later in the course, I'm gonna show you how I go about drawing my initial masks. I'm not trying to be a perfectionist here, because you're going to get the idea regardless.
