…One of my favorite effects is the gradient map.…And, in Photoshop this is a very easy tool to use.…There's a similar effect over in After…Effects called Colorama, and we'll explore that next.…But, let's jump in here first with Photoshop.…The gradient map effect essentially take a gradient, but instead of just…layering it on top It maps it based on the luminosity values.…So in this case what was dark became white and…what was bright became black.…Well, reversing that you see exactly what happened.…
But what goes on when you start to introduce other colors?…Well, let's reset this here to the default view.…Normally, the default gradients are pretty bad and so if you chose gradient map And…you picked a result like say, the default,…you might wonder why the effect even exists.…And, you go through and,…you see some glimmers of hope, but, you're not too sure.…Especially if you encounter Rainbow Bright.…But, what you need to realize is that these, can be blended.…So, by changing this to something like Hue mode, it…
