Strategies for tough white balance: Neutralizing, part 1

- Sometimes when working with an image, there'll be a strong color cast and no matter what you do, it's difficult to remove. Color cast is often caused by mixed lighting conditions or an improperly calibrated camera. Let me show you some tools in After Effects to make this easier. We'll go back to the project panel and continue working with the same folder. In this case, let's go to Comp 5, in the folder 2.4 and I've got a before and after image. They're both good but in the before image, it's just a little bit red. Now there's nothing wrong with this but it feels a little too red to me. So what I want to do is remove that and neutralize it. We're going to take advantage of two effects: vibrance and color neutralizer. Now the vibrance effect is quite useful. Let's just apply it directly to the layer. This is the same effect that you'll find inside of Lumetri. It actually gives you both vibrance and saturation. So…
