- Having created the first holdout matte, we're now going to complete the frame by adding its inverse, which sounds simple enough, but there are a couple of really important tips I want you to know about doing that. I'm going to rename this layer Hair, and duplicate it and call the duplicate Arm. With both layers selected I'll reveal the masks, I'll give myself a little more space here. I could just leave it like this, and, in this case, it'd probably be fine, but I'd like to encourage you to do a little something extra, which is to get rid of the key frames on one of them and set an expression, then use the Pick Whip to link one mask to the other. Doesn't really matter which one's the master. That way, if you inadvertently make any changes to that mask 'cause you notice something, that change will pass through and you won't have weird problems that are hidden in overlapping masks.
