As an experienced Adobe After Effects user, you probably use keyframes every day. Remember, a keyframe allows you to control the position of something over time. How do you animate them? In this video, Richard Harrington walks you through how to only view the audio levels keyframes in a timeline in Adobe After Effects.
- If you have audio inside of a composition,…it's possible to view audio waveforms.…The audio waveform is going to give you the ability…to see sound represented graphically,…which could be helpful…if you need to timeout animation elements.…With a layer selected, if I press the L key,…I'll see my audio levels.…This allows me to adjust the volume…for an individual element, making it louder or quieter.…The negative number will reduce the volume,…and a positive number increases it.…
Below this is the waveform,…and if you twirl this down,…you'll actually see the waveform.…In fact, this can be quite useful…to really judge what's happening.…I'll often drag this so it's a little bit taller…so I can really see the details,…noticing where there's key spikes for percussion elements…or beats of music.…If you want to jump just to the audio waveform,…press LL, and it will open that up quickly.…Remember, that's double tap on the L key,…L for levels and two Ls for audio waveforms.…
While I might be dating myself here,…just think of that as LL as in LL Cool J for the music.…
