Usually when someone is shooting video, they shoot with the camera sitting horizontally; however, with green screen video, it might be easier to record someone with the camera in a vertical position. In this video, Richard Harrington discusses the benefits of vertically shooting green screen video.
- While I'm not normally of vertical video,…it actually comes in handy a lot with green screen.…That's because you're going to be…replacing information anyways,…so as long as your subject doesn't…become cut off in the frame,…vertical video is just fine.…Now, to do this, it could be a little bit tricky,…but I've actually got a set-up here that's pretty easy.…I'm using an L-bracket here on the camera itself,…plus my camera has a built-in L-bracket.…In this case, I can very easily mount on two points.…
So, if I was using the bottom here,…I could attach that to the tripod this way,…or I could attach it for a regular horizontal-type shot.…Now, fortunately, I also have that same ability right here.…I'm using an L-bracket on top of the camera,…which makes mounting at a side angle much more possible.…So, let's just slip that in.…There we go.…And I can adjust that so the camera stays…over the center of the tripod for stability.…
