- Let's talk about shooting a panoramic photo.…One of the thing's that's essential,…is that you have overlap with the subject.…This means that as you're shooting,…you capture the same imagery…or at least some of same imagery in each shot.…Ideally, what's going to happen is you will pan your camera…and create a 25 to 50 percent overlap…between the different shots.…To get started, let me show you how you do this…using nothing other than your camera.…Now, if your camera does not have a strap,…what I recommend is that you simply tuck your body.…
So, take the camera and we've got it here…and pull this in tight to your body tucking the shoulders.…This way as you turn,…and you take each shot,…it's going to work pretty easily.…You might have noticed there…that the camera was trying to autofocus.…I recommend that you put the camera into a manual mode,…either by changing the menu, or perhaps,…as you see here, popping the dial.…That's going to allow you to set focus.…What you don't want is the focus changing in-between shots,…
