Setting up a good After Effects project structure

- [Voiceover] One thing that's often overlooked in After Effects is the project structure. I really advocate using a good, solid project structure when you're working. It will keep you sane, stop you getting confused, and help keep your project on track. We're in 0503 project, or AEP, which is in the planning folder. And here you can see I've numbered my comps, and this is my main comp. I always call it 00_finalcomp, and if it's 00, it will be placed at the top of the stack if I'm sorting numerically. And if you look down here, you'll see it's made up of some nested comps. You'll see there we've got people at desk animation. We've got a background pre-comp in there. Got some shape layers, and then a 3D layers comp and 3D shutter comp. So my final comp I label green, and I have that at the top.
