Setting up a Universal Color Control
- So you've got a project with hundreds of text layers and shapes that all have to adhere to a color scheme. The big question is, how can you fluently make changes to all of these layers without tedious effort? In this movie, we're going to explore how to set up a color controller to trigger color changes to several layers at once. So here I'm inside my Chapter 3_1 composition. I've got a series of text layers that have all been placed into precompositions and are sort of mapped to this tree. By the way, I got this tree just inside of Photoshop, did a quick render and brought the file inside and then placed all of the text layers around the tree with the help of a lovely plug-in by the name of Pastiche that you can get at aescripts. But rest assured, you don't need to have that script to follow along in this movie.
