- [Instructor] Usually, after I've created an initial particle system, I like to start focusing on colors. So in this video, we're going to focus on how we can create some colors that'll match the whimsical theme we're working on creating for this background. To start, let's select the Background layer in the timeline, and then go to our Effect Controls and make some changes here in Particular. Now, I'm going to scroll down because I want to make changes to the particle colors. So let's open up the Particle options, and here, under Set Color, let's click on the dropdown and choose Random from Gradient. Now, that's pretty random. So the first thing I want to do is choose something that's kind of monochromatic. So I'll make this a little larger, and open up the Color over Life options. I usually like to start with one of these presets. So click on the Presets dropdown, and let's choose this middle one here.
