Separate foreground and background

- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll create what's known as a breathing logo animation. This will keep the motion of the logo on screen as well as help to separate it from it's background. This is the final comp which you can always reverse engineer if you like. It's waiting for you over here. I'm going to close it and return to the stage that we left off in the previous movie. This is what we've created so far. Now in order to create this separation and this breathing animation, this slow zoom in almost like a trucking camera, I'm going to create a null object. In order to create it, I need to make sure the timeline is selected. Make sure that the composition or the timeline is selected then go to the layer options over here and under new, choose to create a null object. This is some sort of a dummy object which is not going to render in the final comp but we can use it in order to animate couple of layers at the same time.
