- While masks and selections are great, sometimes they have really hard edges, and it's very obvious where you made an effect. Fortunately, Curves have natural roll-off built in. So it's easy to blend the results and gently go from effected to uneffected. Let's see some secondary color correction techniques with Curves. Now, in that last movie, we took some pretty advanced steps. I want to show you, you can still get pretty far with the new Lumetri color effect. Let's go ahead here and just balance this out. There we go. And actually just get that a little bit more even, and we'll pop the blacks, and bring up the whites a little bit. So now we've got a pretty good shot, but the alligators here just aren't coming through. Well, to do this, we're going to add another Lumetri effect. You could do this on the same layer, or add it to an adjustment layer for more flexibility. Let's call this layer secondary. Now, we're…
