- With the introduction of digital cameras, things like flatbed scanners have really fallen by the wayside. But this used to be the only way to get your images into the computer as a digital file. Now, these still have use, particularly if you need to scan something that exists in the physical world that you don't have an electronic file for. For example, oftentimes, I am presented with situations where no one can find the source graphic for someone's logo. But a lot of folks are walking around with business cards. Or maybe there's a digital photo or something else that you need to get in, a texture layer, et cetera. Well, we're focusing on logos, so let me walk you through the general steps of how to get a logo from something printed into a digital file. It's pretty straightforward. We'll start by just placing this onto the flatbed scanner. And what you're going to want to make sure you do is keep it nice and straight.
