Saving an Illustrator file for an NLE or motion graphics system
- Now, we've already covered how to save an image for an NLE, which might be more restrictive. But fortunately, as long as you have things organized, they should come in cleanly to the motion graphics tool. For example, if we take a look at this file here, you see that there are separate layers. 1 Day, 1 Cause, 1 Goal. Let's go ahead, I'll close that without saving, and switch over to After Effects. Now, I'll import that file. I'll go ahead and select it here, and choose Open. And bring this in as a composition. Now, have a look. You'll notice that each is there. And if we set the composition settings to be a little bit larger, notice each element is independent. So now, quite simply, we'll apply a scale animation. I'll set this to zero, and go to the two-second mark, and set it to 3,000. You see that's quite pixelated. Let's also press Shift T to add opacity. And we can put a little fade. Zero. Fade up to 100. Keep that at 100. And then fade out to zero. And you see they scale up…
