Rotoscoping with the Roto Brush

- To integrate the second title better, I want it to appear behind the little girl in the video. To achieve that, we're going to rely on one of the automatic masking technologies in the software, named Roto Brush. So this is what we have up to now. The second title is entering the screen, it's blowing to pieces, wonderful, it's great, but I really think that it should travel when it's entering the screen underneath this girl and this flower, and not on top of it. Now this is of course design choice, but I want to show you how you can achieve this effect. And I'm going to do so using the kind help of the Roto Brush tool which is an automatic procedure inside After Effects. So, we need to prepare some stuff in order for it to work, and in order to get the most out of it. The first thing that we need to do is duplicate our source layer, so I'm going to select it and press command + d, control + d on the PC, and then I'm going to just find where the text is going to meet with the girl's…
