Join Lee Lanier for an in-depth discussion in this video Reviewing animations with Playblast, part of VFX Techniques: Space Scene 01: Maya Animation and Dynamic Simulation.
…We've spent some time refining these…spaceship animation by adding additional key frames.…Then working on the curves in the graph editor.…Let's see where we wound up on this one.…I'm going to select the ship as a hierarchy.…Make sure I use my hierarchy button. Then go into the graph editor.…Now I…spent some more time working on this version,…so you'll see a few things are different.…One is that all of the curves match in terms of the number of key frames.…Some curves have more key frames, some have fewer.…You're free to delete individual key frames any time you want.…You're also free to move individual key frames if you want to.…
Either a single one, or small groups.…Of course, you can set additional key frames…in the timeline, wherever you think it helps.…Other things…that were applied that we talked about. All the tangents are currently spline.…Also, some tangents removed by hand, for example, we discussed doing ease out so…the transit curves have ease out tangent…handle curves where the curve becomes more flat.…
