…One production trick is to reverse footage and this is…great when you need to do things that are kind of…impossible, like make things fall upward or do the perfect…zoom in to the flagpole on the top of the capitol.…Well, it's much easier to just start zoomed in and pull out slowly than…it is to properly pull focus and hit the object precisely with smooth motion.…Knowing how to reverse footage is pretty straight forward but…it works very well.…In After Effects, you can just click on the Stretch…property here and reverse the stretch factor to negative 100%.…
And click OK.…Now, in this case the footage is going to go off screen, but…pressing the left bracket key I can move the outpoint to the end.…In doing this, I'll also turn on frame blending to give smoother results.…So now, let's go ahead and have a look.…And you're going to notice that it does something rather impossible.…What's going to happen here is our slinky is going to climb up the stairs.…And thanks to the basic frame blending there, the…motion streaks look really good, and we see it rises.…
