Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Replacing an object, part of After Effects Guru: Tracking and Stabilizing Footage.
…Earlier, I showed you an object replacement.…Let me walk you through the basics.…In this case, we have the shot of the exterior.…And I'll track the camera movement.…What's invariably going to happen is several tracking points that…we don't need will become selected.…We looked at this shot once before, but let's dig a little bit deeper.…One of the things I want to take advantage of…is seeing the tracking points here once they're developed, so I can remove some.…I'll also run a detailed analysis to get a more accurate track.…While that's getting built out, there's a handful of things I could do to this shot.…
Let's get the white balance correct.…With the layer selected, I'll choose Color Control.…And I'll use Auto Levels.…And apply a two second smoothing value.…So it looks across the scene and averages things out.…Let's clip the white just a little bit, good and pop the color.…I prefer Vibrance to really bring out the blues.…And a little round out to the saturation.…A curves adjustment is also quite effective.…
