…One challenge with footage is that the skies can blow out.…Now, of course, as raw video becomes more popular, this is…less and less of an issue, but one of the other trends…that's happening are smaller, cheaper cameras, such as the GoPros, and…these cameras just do not have that much of a dynamic range.…So, let me show you one way to solve a blown out sky.…This problem can plague just about any video camera and…I'd like to give you some ways to handle it.…At this point I'm showing you the after result of fixing the footage.…
But, here's what it started like.…You'll notice I've done a little bit of post-production here…to knock out one sky and replace it with another.…But, it's more than that.…Let's build it up from the bottom, there's the original…footage, and then I have my sky photo put into place,…and that's just layering it in, there we go.…And you see that there's a loose mask on that photo to constrain it to the edge.…Then I put the footage on top, with a key.…And basically we're going to do a luma key to drop that in.…
