Renaming layers
- As you start to design, it's possible that you end up with multiple copies of something in your project, or maybe it has a default name that's pretty generic. Here's how you can change the name of things. Now, this may seem really simple until you actually try to do it. You'll click. You'll slow-click. You'll double-click. And all that happens is you load the element. So what becomes necessary is that you know how to edit the name. If you right-click here, you can choose the option for Rename. And I can type this in. Or with the layer selected, just press the Enter key to highlight it. And this allows you to assign a descriptive name. Now, what's important to note is that you can click on the layer name here to toggle between the original source name. In other words, what's it called in the project? And you see there that we can toggle between those. So, in this case, clock body was a layer from the file called stopwatch, an Adobe Illustrator file. But as a source it's been…
