- Another type of distortion you may have is wide angle distortion. Now you could, of course, profile the lens, but sometimes it's a bit more subjective. And by using the adaptive wide angle command, you can go in and really finesse how the wide angle material is treated. Let's open up another shot, control open. And I'll take shot number three here for wide angle. In this case we've got a athlete doing some jumping at a trampoline park. Now we explore this trampoline park on an episode of Video Gear Weekly. And in this case, I definitely see some distortion. This was a straight wall, not a curved wall. And the wide angle lens, in order to get the field of view, is having a lot of bending at the edges. Let's fix that. I'll right click and convert this to a Smart Object. And now choose Filter, Adaptive Wide Angle. Now automatically, it attempts to fix the fish eye. And it actually did pretty well.
