Join Mark Christiansen for an in-depth discussion in this video Remove a logo on a smooth surface with Content-Aware Fill, part of After Effects 2020 New Features.
- [Instructor] One special case … that can be very difficult for Content-Aware Fill … are signs and other smooth, uniform surfaces … because invariably, they have lighting on them … that makes them surprisingly tricky. … So here's a sign, if you want to see … what it originally looked like, … it looks like that, … and I used the mask tracker built into After Effects … to create this keyframe mask on that and remove it … and you'd think that this would be easy to fill. … In fact, you might even think you could use a solid. … Well, I tried that. … And I'll just show you what happened. … It was a solid, I moved it behind. … Looks good on the end where I sampled the color … but over here, not so much. … Now, the ideal scenario to show you this … would be a logo that needs to be removed from footage … for legal reasons. … The reason I'm not showing you that … is legal reasons, so you could imagine just as easily … that this Railroad Station sign … was actually a logo for a company … that will be unnamed at this time. …
