- Here's a feature that you would take for granted…in just about any other video application,…but it is in After Effects for the very first time.…You can now simply double-click on a clip…and play back the video with no delay.…Let me show you.…Here's a clip.…It's compressed with H.264, it's a Quicktime.…I'm just going to open it up.…This one happens to actually be running…at 60 frames per second, so it's…a bit of a challenging clip to play back.…But if I just press the space bar,…with no delay to buffer into RAM, the clip starts playing.…
I'll go down to my Comp panel and do the same thing.…I have no effects applied to the clip.…I just press space bar, and instantly it is playing.…And just to show that it's everywhere,…I'm also going to double-click this…and open it up in the Layer panel, and there it is.…In the past, After Effects has had to buffer…any video clip to RAM before it would play it.…This might have only taken a second or two,…but in some cases it would take a lot longer…and now it caches instantly.…
