- [Instructor] We're going to take a look at the workflow for preparing artwork in sketch for use with the Sketch2AE plug-in. So, here's our starting file. And if I press Command + 1, I can zoom out to see all of the art boards that are in here. So, we have one for each of the dashboards states, the steps, and the friends. And, it's recommended if you have a really heavy file, that you select the art board that you want to copy, paste it into a new sketch file, and then that way when the plug in is analyzing the symbols in the file, it only has to do the ones in that file as opposed to everything in a more complex file. Sketch2AE needs artwork to be on an art board so that After Effects knows what size composition to create. So, let's just look at that workflow. So, I would select my dashboard, and make a note of the width and height. I'm going to copy this. Command + N to go into a new file. Command + V to paste.
