Post-render actions

- While render links are quite useful, After Effects does have some additional options that I like, called post render actions. This allows you to take something you've been working on in After Effects and bring it back into the project, and it can even force things to update within the project. In this case, we've got a nested precomp. I'm donna double click to load that, and let's render this one out. We'll say Composition, Add to Render Queue. You can decide what settings you want to use, but essentially in this case, I'm going to render this out, Best Settings, and I'll go with Lossless with Alpha. You'll see an option for Post Render Action. You can tell it to import just into the project, or import and replace usage. In this case, it's going to replace itself with the rendered movie. But, you can also drag with the pick whip, if you want to specify a specific use within the project. Just click and drag in the project panel. Now, I'll click Render. It's going to generate a new…
