Onion skin settings

- [Voiceover] Now that we actually have some animation going on in our timeline, let's take a quick gander at the onion skinning feature which can be really helpful when animating this more traditional style. I'm going to go over to the menu in the timeline over here at the top right. I'll click on it and I'll go and check Enable Onion Skins. If we look at it playing, you can see a few semi-transparent frames before and after our current frame. I'm going to pause the playback and just slowly scroll through. Let's go ahead and hit Command plus to zoom in and I'm going to pull this down a little bit so we can take a closer look. Those are onion skins that we're seeing. What an onion skin is is a semi-transparent copy of the previous or upcoming frames of your animation that lets you plan out action, better time motion, and draw in relation to what you just did or what you plan on drawing and you can customize how your onion skins appear by using the onion skins setting menu.
