The last step to make this text more believable is to integrate the pulses with the feet of the runner. You can do this by masking the feet and shoes and then duplicating them to their own layer on top of the graphics. In this movie, author Eran Stern will demonstrate how to mask the runner using the color range in Adobe After Effects.
- The last step here…is to integrate those pulses…with the feet of the runner.…Now my goal here is to mask part of the frame…and leave only the feet and the shoes…as an individual layer…that will be on top of the graphics.…This small treatment will help us to sell the effect…and as always, we can assist the visuals…by adding some sound effects…and a matching score.…So we're almost ready but we still have one thing…that we need to fix.…
In order to illustrate it, I'm just going to move over here,…and then I'm going to hold down Alt,…and using the scroll wheel on the mouse,…I can zoom in to this location.…And you can see that the pulse animation…that we've created in the previous movie…doesn't look right.…It needs to be under the runner's leg.…So, to fix this, I'm going to select the runner video,…and duplicate another version…by pressing Command + D or Control + D on the Mac,…and then I'm going to drag and drop it above everything.…
Maybe not above everything,…I'm going to leave the lights and the camera…on top of all the other layers.…
