- [Eran] Hello, and welcome back to "After Effects Weekly". This is Eran Stern and in this episode I'm going to show you a few useful tricks when creating and working with masks inside After Effects. So to demonstrate it we have these half-baked pen illustration created with three solids layer here in After Effects, of course also accompanied by few masks. So if I click on one of them, and then maybe zoom in by pressing Command or Control +, we can get a sense of how this is done. So this is the pen shape, obviously this is the dots and we also have another layer for the base and the lines over here. Alright, so I want to finish this illustration so I'll select the Pen Shape. And of course I can see the masks because I have these buttons switched on this is the Toggle Mask and Shape Path Visibility.
