- [Instructor] Let's go ahead and open the composition named 4.3 mask modes. Again, expand the folder, expand compositions. Here it is, 4.3 mask modes. Simply double click it. In here, you're going to see a layer that contains two masks. If you click on the layer name in the timeline, you're going to clearly see both masks. In the timeline, I want you to select both masks and you can do so by clicking and dragging. This is called a marquee select. Or you can simply click on one, press and hold shift, and then click on the other one. I want you to notice that by default, this drop down menu is going to say add. With both masks selected, let's go ahead and choose none. As you can see now, there is no transparency being created by the masks even though these are closed paths. If you change the none to add, then we see what we saw before. You can also invert them. If both of them are inverted, then where…
