- [Narrator] One of my favorite additions to After Effects…is one I personally have wanted to see for a long time.…In preferences, you can set an After Effects project…as a template that will open…every time you create a new project.…There are several reasons that this is a great thing.…Let's take a look, so in preferences,…there's a new category called new project.…In there, there's just this one checkbox,…but when I check it, it pops up this dialogue…asking me to set a template project.…
These projects are grayed out…and this is a problem that is specific to Mac OS X…so I'll go to options and change the enabled…from template project to just project.…Now notice that all three of these will work,…but on a Mac you have to select which one.…Why?…We don't know.…I'll select simple template and click open and OK.…It didn't open but when I say file new project,…now I have the template that I created for myself.…
Now let's take a look at this.…This is the layout and a set of folders…that I use all the time so I like a pretty minimal layout…
