Linking text colors together with a single controller

- Text layers in After Effects are quite unique. There are two ways to control the properties of the text. One is to control them using the Character panel, and you can do things like adjust the size, the font, the tracking, and the color through that panel. Now the only thing is if you want to animate those properties, the only way of doing it is by animating source text. So for example, if I want to animate the color, I can set a keyframe here for source text ,color and then scrub through, and then change the color. After Effects will animate between those two colors, but it will do it using held keyframes. So it will just suddenly change from one value to another. And there's no way of separating other properties that are in the Character panel like Font, for example. So if I change it to a different font at that point and a different size, and maybe adjust the tracking, then it's all held in one keyframe.
